Speech Pathologist

Job Summary

At Collective Growth, we are passionate about fostering collaboration among allied health professionals and building a dynamic team dedicated to client care. We are excited to invite applications for a Speech and Language Pathologist to join our growing team of professionals. In this role, we will seek your support regarding developing discipline specific templates, resources, and planning future services from Collective Growth.

Key Responsibilities

•    Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions that support clients and their families.
•    Demonstrate strong communication skills in your interactions with individuals of all ages, families, stakeholders, and fellow team members.
•    Attend stakeholder and management meetings to represent the Speech Pathology perspective.
•    Manage a caseload of clients with disabilities, including those with autism, behavioural challenges, physical impairments, and more.
•    Participate in the assessment and evaluation of clients.
•    Ensure high-quality documentation
•    Identify and communicate opportunities for professional development that would benefit the service.

•    Report any concerns regarding child abuse or neglect in accordance with the Child Protection Act 1999.
•    Demonstrate respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children’s cultural identity.
•    Complete regular child safety and anti-discrimination training.Senior clinicians are expected to have the following responsibilities:
•    Clinical leadership skills to support the service.
•    Support for supervising developing clinicians.
•    Creating and supporting new innovative ideas to support the growth of the organisation.
•    Supervise and mentor new graduate Speech Pathologists and allied health assistants.
•    Offer the supervision of at least one student placement for a Speech Pathologist per year.
•    Provide feedback to the team on policies and procedures such as documentation practices.

Qualifications & Experience

•    Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent.
•    Current Speech Pathology Australia membership.
•    Valid driver’s license and access to a car.
•    A current Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain this).
•    While experience working with children is beneficial, we welcome applicants who are enthusiastic about working with individuals across all age groups.
•    New Graduates are welcome to apply and will be supported.
Senior clinicians are expected to have:
•    Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Speech Pathologist.
•    Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor junior clinicians.
•    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•    Willingness to be an active contributor to the growth and development of the team.

- Prepare therapy materials and session plans, ensuring creative and interactive activities that keep clients engaged.
- Contribute to client documentation, ensuring high-quality reports and progress tracking.
- Support group programs designed to develop social communication skills in a fun and structured setting.
