Allied Health Assistants
Focus on Growth
An Allied Health Assistant (AHA) supports the work of allied health professionals, such as speech pathologists and occupational therapists, by assisting in the implementation of therapy programs. Under the guidance and supervision of qualified clinicians, AHAs help clients achieve their therapy goals within the clinic or by assisting in group programs. They provide hands-on support to reinforce therapy techniques, facilitate activities, and monitor progress, ensuring clients receive consistent and structured support in a supervised setting.
1:1 Therapy Sessions
1:1 sessions with an Allied Health Assistant (AHA) are conducted in the clinic, following a therapy plan designed by a leading clinician. These sessions focus on helping clients work toward their speech or occupational therapy goals under guided supervision.
Group Programs
In group programs, Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) play a key role in facilitating setup and pack-up, ensuring sessions run smoothly. They support children throughout activities, providing care and encouragement.
Resource Creation
Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) can also assist by creating resources for lead clinicians, such as visual aids, worksheets, and therapy materials. This helps support therapy sessions and ensures resources are tailored to the needs of the clients.
